Poem

St. Nicholas,

Nityananda,

Muktanananda,

and Chidvilasananda

by Harry Kottler

One Christmas I saw St. Nicholas
in a dream that startled me.
He wore a coat of animal furs
and seemed strong as strong can be.

I saw him walk before me
with a majesty so grand
that I knew he truly was a saint
who had walked on earthly lands.

He reminded me of Nityananda
who once flew me in the night
to places quite magnificent,
to places out of sight.

He reminded me of Muktananda
who's still sometimes alive
when I see him giving speeches
before my sleeping eyes.

He reminded me of Chidvilasananda
who carried me one time
across an expanse of water
in a dream that was sublime.

I know St. Nicholas is quite real
though not as movies show.
He truly comes and blesses folks.
May saints make your heart glow.

............

With love and respect,

Harry and Helen
